About me
I'm a journalist with a passion for justice, balance and the truth.
A half-Black, half-white woman originally from Minneapolis, I aim to be a voice for the voiceless and shed light on injustice through my reporting. I am a curious investigator, comprehensive writer and meticulous editor.

I am graduating from Syracuse University in May 2025 with a bachelor of science in magazine, news and digital journalism and a bachelor of arts in philosophy. I think philosophy and journalism, two pursuits of truth and knowledge, can inform and improve each other.

At SU, I worked at The Daily Orange, Syracuse's independent student-run newspaper, as a news editor and copy editor before pitching myself to be The D.O.'s first diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility manager.
After graduating in May, I will be joining The New York Times! As a summer 2025 Dow Jones News Fund editing intern working on the Flexible Editing desk, I will help finalize stories and digital content before they are published on NYT's website and social media.

Outside of journalism, I love to hike, paint, practice yoga, spend time with loved ones, cook, and travel. I also love learning about philosophy, astrology, and wisdom from ancient civilizations.
I am guided by trust in God and the divine order of all that is.
I paint (sometimes).
